My main research interest is the dynamics of the atmospheres of the Solar System Planets. In particular the study of large scale atmospheric dynamics of the giant planets planets Jupiter and Saturn, and its numerical simulation by implementation of numerical models. In the case of Jupiter I have interest in planetary-scale storms on Jupiter, the Great Red Spot, planetary scale wave phenomena, and the global zonal wind system.
In the case of Saturn my main research has centered on the study of the global zonal wind system derived from space missions and the first determination of its vertical structure at the upper troposphere, and the large scale dynamics of planetary scale storms.
