My field of expertise is X-ray astronomy and astrophysics. My research focuses on thermonuclear events on accreting binary systems, occurring both on the surface of white dwarfs in cataclysmic variables (CV), and on neutron stars in low mass X-ray binaries (LMXB). From the observed X-ray emission and the development of numerical models to simulate the physical processes taking place, I aim at understanding the interplay of accretion and ejection of matter in this explosive events and their hosting systems.
