My research focuses on functional oxides for electronic applications, from the materials design to its applications. Materials covers new eco-friendly oxide-based feroelectric polycrystals for energy harvesting and energy storage, photoferroelectrics for a new generation of photoactuators, and multiferroic heterostructures for light-controlled devices. Low environmental impact sintering methods, in particular the flash sintering, are also at the core of my research. Other interests include relaxor ferroelectrics, domain dynamics, grain size effect on functional properties of ferroelectric materials, advanced characterization of dielectric and piezoelectric properties, and ultrasonic devices based on piezoelectric technology.
