Short CV

Dr. Manel Soria obtained his Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and subsequently pursued research in Computational Engineering across two distinct phases. Initially focusing on Heat and Mass Transfer, Dr. Soria contributed significantly to solar energy equipment design and simulation, leading several projects and supervising doctoral theses. He also contributed to theoretical and practical computational fluid dynamics, and to direct numerical simulation (DNS) of turbulent flows. Transitioning to Aerospace Engineering in 2015, he has since spearheaded various projects in active aerodynamics, computational aeroacoustics, planetary atmosphere simulation, and space mission planning.
His current research interests are: computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer, computational aeroacoustics and aerodynamics and space mission planning. He is directing three PhD thesis.
