His research covers interdisciplinary fields mainly centered on nonlinear dynamics in complex systems (homoclinic phenomena, complexification of nonlinear dynamics, coupled oscillators), spatiotemporal dynamics (turbulence, localized states, solitons, BECs and Schrödinger systems), nonlinear optics (laser stabilization, semiconductor lasers, laser arrays), wave propagation in structured media (non-diffractive propagation, flat lensing, complex index modulations, optical metamaterials) and geophysics (surveying equipment for subsoil exploration).

Design and implementation of two surveying equipments for the subsoil exploration, electrical surveying and acoustic (seismic) surveying including data analysis.
2008-2012: Schrödinger systems and BECs. Systems with complex index modulation. Oscillatory possibilities in dynamical systems (UAB).
2012-2016: Modulated semiconductor lasers. Beam shaping, Flat lensing, Nondiffractive-nondiffusive propagation (UPC). Structure of complexity (UAB).
2016-2020: Suppression of instabilities and optical turbulence. Non-Hermitic potentials in optical systems and directional couplings: Invisibility, demultiplexers, ring lasers, EELs, VCSELs. Collaboration with the company Monocrom (semiconductor lasers).
2020-2023: Metamaterials, metasurfaces for asymmetric reflectivity and filtering metamirrors. Sound directionality. Stabilization of laser bars. Mode emission control and self-cleaning in optical fibers. Non-hermitic control of optical turbulence. Localized structures (patterns, solitons and molecules) in extended systems. Complexification of periodic orbits (UAB).
